One of the bigger highlights is the overhauled in-game overlay. Much of this work, however, isn’t visible as Valve has tried to unify its codebase so that it can more easily deploy features, fixes and updates to all versions of the software. With this update Steam brings visual and usability improvement to all users whether they’re on desktop, Steam Deck or Mobile. This update is rather substantial and gives us something we’ve been begging for for a while – a unified appearance.
